Bengaluru, August 18: Tottenham expected much better from Vincent Janssen last season whom they signed last summer from AZ after he had a brilliant season in Eredivisie claiming the Golden Boot. In reality, the move proved to be a disaster.

He didn't do himself any favours as he committed one of the most unholy acts a Tottenham player can ever do, that is get caught browsing through London rivals Chelsea shirts at a sports shop.

Unfortunately for the Dutchman, his crime was recorded on camera at the store in Oxford Street last week.

He was particularly interested in the Blues' training shirt but it is yet to be known if he actually made the purchase.

Maybe his struggles on the pitch have lead him to want a move from the club and this is an unconventional method of telling Chelsea he wants a move to the West London club.

But with just two Premier League goals, both from penalties, Chelsea hardly seem like a likely destination, though.

He has however had some interest from Broussia Monchengladbach this summer so it may not be the only new kit he checks out before the transfer window closes.

The 23-year-old will be back in his Tottenham shirt on Sunday as the London rivals match up in their first Premier League clash of the season.

However, the Dutch striker didn't actually wear it like his team-mate Georges-Kevin N'Koudou who was caught sporting the Chelsea shirt earlier this summer.

He later apologised on Twitter saying it was a shirt given to him by his friend and Blues striker Michy Batshuayi and he meant no disrespect but he didn't know.

Maybe the incoming Tottenham players need a more detailed run down on the big no-nos to avoid asking for trouble.
