According to "Goal.com", Messi was fooled by Ronaldinho double. The lookalike of former Brazilian star jumped the fence to meet the Argentine.

For few moments, Messi thought he was his real friend Ronaldinho and even chatted with him. The fan shook hands with Messi and went down on his knees before being taken away by a security personal. After knowing it was not the real Ronaldinho, Messi and his teammates were seen laughing.

"When he (Messi) saw me he was shocked because he thought I was the real Ronaldinho and he told me that I didn't need to run on the pitch to see him," Ronaldinho lookalike Robinson Oliveira, was quoted as saying in the report.

"He said: 'What are you doing running on here to see me?' When he held my hand, I went down on my knees (and bowed). It was so emotional."

He added: "I didn't plan this. I just thought to myself that I have to hold his hand because this is the only opportunity I will have to see him."

The fan, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the former Barcelona player, ended up with a bloodied hand after scaling the fence in his adventure to meet Messi, but said: "It was worth it", the report added.

Argentina start their FIFA World Cup 2014 campaign against Bosnia and Herzegovina at Maracana on Sunday (June 15).
