Brazilian Intelligence Agency Abin's assistant director Ronaldo Belham said Tuesday that the United States is among the teams included in this special protection level. The US team's arrival in Sao Paulo Monday featured a lot of security. Belham did not disclose the name of the other six teams, reports Xinhua.

Security for the Brazilian team is also high. The hotel in which the Brazilian squad will be staying in Sao Paulo, prior to the opening match Thursday, is being protected by a tight security scheme with the participation of the local and federal police, Army and private security guards.

The security was much more prominent than during last week when the Brazilian team played in a friendly against Serbia in Sao Paulo.
