"We were eyeing a gold in the snooker singles after Aditya reached the semifinals, but nevertheless we are happy that at least he won a bronze medal for the country. With this medal, we bettered our Doha edition's performance where we had won three medals (gold, silver and bronze each)," said Team manager Ravi Tandon.

Earlier on the day, Indian men team won a silver in golf and India hockey team defeated Pakistan to enter semi-finals of the event.
