Rio de Janeiro, Aug 8: The fourth day at Rio Olympics features some of the best Indian athletes in action as they look forward to bag India's maiden medal at the Rio Olympics 2016.
The first three days have extremely disappointing for the Indians except for certain moments. Dipa Karmakar seemed to be the only bright light for the country as she scripted history by becoming first woman from India to qualify for the finals of gymnastics at the Olympics.
The fourth days kicks-off with India's flagbearer at the opening ceremony and the only one to win an Olympics gold medal in an individual category, Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang in action in the 10m Air Rifle Qualifications and subsequently the finals.
Also the Indian Hockey team men take on Germany in the second group stage match. They had won their opening game against Ireland 3-2. The women's team too are in action against Great Britan. The eves managed a draw against Asian rivals Japan yesterday.
Making her Olympics debut, India's Sunita Rani Majhi will be in action in individual archery category. In the team event India were eliminated by Russia in the quarterfinals yesterday.
Lastly in swimming, Sajan Prakash, who won 6 gold and 3 silver medals in the Indian National Games, will be representing India today in the 200 m freestyle category.
