Mumbai, Oct 14: Over nineteen positive tests were recorded after nine more Kabbadi players have been tested positive during trials for the coming World Cup, said India's National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).

NADA collected 51 samples during the tournament in Ludhiana, in which 19 positive tests were recorded.

Steroids stanozolol, trenbolone, stimulant phentermine, nandrolone, methendinone and drostanolone are the prohibited substances which were found in the nine new cases. Doping cases are increasing and is becoming a major problem in Indian sport.

Rahul Bhatnagar, director general of NADA was quoted as saying, "Terming the situation alarming, NADA has decided that it would try and test every player participating at the World Cup. The alarming situation that has come to light in the wake of such a large number of positive cases, calls for stringent action on the part of the organisers of the event."
