Atwal finishes 68th at Northern Trust

Las Vegas, Feb 21 (PTI) Arjun Atwal was unable tocapitalise on a good birdie run in the middle of the round, ashe dropped too many bogeys to return a card of one-over 72 andfinish tied 68th at the Northern Trust Open on the PGA Tour.

Atwal had rounds of 71, 74, 72 and 72 as his driving wasfar from accurate. His missed too many fairways, but hisputting kept him afloat.

The 29-year-old Australian Aaron Baddeley took the topspot as he finished with a 2-under 69 to hold off Vijay Singhand Fred Couples. It was Baddeley''s first win in four years.

The Fijian, approaching 48, closed with a 69 for secondplace, which was his best finish in more than two years.

Kevin Na (71) was third, while the 51-year-old Couples,who was in with a chance till the 16th, bogeyed two of thelast three holes and shot 73 to tie for seventh in his bid tobecome the PGA Tour''s oldest winner in more than 35 years. PTICM
