Poulomi, Mouma bag bronze in women's T T double

By Nitsi
New Delhi, Oct 14: Determined to make up for semifinal loss, Indian paddlers on Thursday, Oct 14 started on an attacking note and clinched a bronze, beating Australians Tan Z Vivian and Campbell-Innes Peri in women's doubles' third-place play-off here.

Poulomi Ghatak and Mouma Das survived the third game of the best-of-five contest, which was an easy journey for them as they simply outplayed their opponents to 11-1.

"It certainly looked easy, but we had to fight hard in the match. I would say our hard work paid off today. It is specially important because me and Mouma are childhood friends and we have been playing together since long," Poulomi said after the match.

Earlier in semifinal, Indians has lost to Singapore Sun Beibei and Li Jiawei 0-3 in the final-four stage.

However, Indian women have already clinched a silver, while their men counterparts have grabbed a bronze in the team events.
