Indian women archery team ignored by association officials

Bangalore, Aug 27: The Indian women archery team were disappointed that no top officials had come to receive them at IGI airport in New Delhi today morning.

On Aug 25 the team of Bombayala Devi, Deepika Kumari, Rimil Buriuly defeated the Olympic champions and top seeded Koreans to clinch the gold medal in World Cup Stage IV in Wroclaw, Poland.

However the team was disappointed by the officials and they were later felicitated at the resident of President of Archery Association of India (AAI), VK Malhotra.

It was the Indian women's second consecutive World Cup title, following their success in Medellin (Colombia) last month.

But whatever their achievements, there was nobody to receive the exhausted team that had deplaned from the flight at the airport, even there was no representatives from the Association and also from Sports Authority of India (SAI).
