SAI offers 'Learn to swim' package at Gandhinagar

Ahmedabad, Oct 15 (UNI) The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Western Centre, here at Gandhinagar has offered 'Learn to Swim' package and other facilities at subsidised rates for the benefit of of all age groups.

A SAI release said here today that the facilities at the SAI centre have been upgraded for SAI trainees and for the national camps in preparation of the Indian teams in various disciplines.

The SAI, which has an international sized swimming pool, steam and sauna facilities has recently established a massage centre, which is operated by a qualified and experienced masseur trained by Russian experts.

The packages offered with registration fee of Rs 100 per annum commences from October 25, 2007.

It includes 'Learn to Swim' for all age groups for a period of 21 days at the nominal cost of Rs 500, with separate batches for boys&girls. Special slots with concession rates are also being offered to educational institutions.

Massage by a qualified and experienced masseur at the SAI Massage Centre at nominal charge of Rs 250 per sitting, lasting about 45 minutes.

Steam bath facility at a monthly charge of Rs 500 or Rs 50 per sitting on the stipulated days.

Sauna bath facility at a monthly charge of Rs 500 or Rs 75 per sitting on the stipulated days.

The SAI complex has 15 centres, a multi-purpose hall for indoor sports such as gymnastics, billiards and badminton which commenced recently and facilities for outdoor sports including athletics, basketball, cricket, hockey, handball, kabaddi, swimming, squash and wrestling with qualified coaches in almost all the disciplines under its 'Pay&Play'&Coaching Schemes, at very nominal charges.
