Force India kicked out of F1 teams

By Super Admin

London, Jun 6: Formula One Teams Association have reportedly kicked out Force India.

According to a news report, Force India have joined Williams on the suspended list after they also formally applied to be on the grid next year before sign-up deadline on Friday, Jun 5.

They were among the nine teams who have conditionally entered for 2010.

FIA president Max Mosley has warned the teams who are against a 40-million-pound budget cap in 2011 that he will not back down.

Flavio Briatore, Renault's team principal, was quoted as saying: "That is the last thing we want, but it is destructive to say that we will not be in F1 next year. It is not good for the sponsors or the fans. We have been in for 20 years and we want to stay but we have to find a compromise."

Toyota chief executive John Howett, vice-chairman of FOTA, said: "We are not bluffing. That is not a threat, it is simply a reply to those who ask if this is all just a game."
