Djokovic crushes Rafa's run to grab World No 1

Paris, Nov 16: Bringing in a sudden twist in Paris Masters, Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal 6-2 6-3 to set up a clash with Gael Monfils in the finals.

"There's not much to say about today's performance except it was perfect, you know, exactly the way I wanted it," said Djokovic.

Third-seeded Djokovic put an end to Nadal's crusade to grab the World No 1 title by clinching the Paris Masters. This opportunity for the second-seed Rafa opened up when Roger Federer exited early from the game.

Incidentally, it was the Serb who took out Roger Federer in the Basel final earlier.
