Rome, May 3: Lifting the the Rome Master for the fifth time, Rafael Nadal continues to wear the clay court crown.
In the final match on Sunday, May 2, Nadal defeated compatriot David Ferrer 7-5 6-2 to claim the clay court title in Rome.
With this victory, the Spinyard also matched American legend Andre Agassi's record of 17 Masters Series titles.
The world number three now has a total of 191 wins on clay and just 17 losses.
This win for Nadal comes after the triumph at Monte Carlo Masters two weeks back. Monte Carlo Masters marked the end of Rafa's 11-month long loosing spree.
