Paris, Nov 11: Top four seeds at Paris masters - defending champion Novak Djokovic, Swiss ace Roger Federer, third-seeded Bit Andy Murray and world number 4 Robin Soderling - on Wednesday, Nov 10 marched into the third round of the tournament.
It was an easy 6-4, 6-4 win for Federer over local favourite Richard Gasquet while Djokovic struggled initially before taking down Juan Monaco of Argentina 6-4, 6-3.
Sweden's Soderling needed just 63 minutes and 11 aces to defeat France's Gilles Simon 6-4, 6-0. Murray, on the other hand, faced a lot of hurdles before he could clinch a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over former number 3 David Nalbandian.
