Pics: Lady love, British PM dance for the star, Andy Murray

London, July 8: Putting an end to Britain's agonising 77-year wait for a Wimbledon men's singles champion, Andy Murray won the title on Sunday, July 7.

26-year-old Murray beat world number one Novak Djokovic, 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 in the blistering heat of the All England Club. Murray became the first male winner in Britain. Earlier Fred Perry had won the title in 1936.

Beginning from lady love Kim Sears to British PM David Cameron -- all united at the All England Club to cheer their star. It was Murray's second Grand Slam title to follow his breakthrough triumph at the US Open in 2012 which followed his Olympic gold medal as well as a heartbreaking, tearful loss to Roger Federer in the Wimbledon final.
