Sania enters 2nd round of Super Series; Sridhar crashes out

Jakarta, Jun 18 (UNI) Saina Nehwal gave her campaign in the Indonesia Super Series badminton championship a rousing start, packing off local favourite Rosaria Yusfin Pungkasari in straight sets to cruise into the second round of the women's singles here today.

Saina, who was in superb form, needed just 25 minutes to overpower her opponent 21-12, 21-14.

The Hyderabad girl will take on third seed PI Hongyan of France in the next round who beat Indonesian qualifier Maria Febe Kusumastuti 19-21, 21-15, 22-20.

India faced disappointment in the men's section, however, with a fighting Anup Sridhar going down 21-23, 21-9, 21-14 to world number 16 Joachim Persson of Denmark in the opening round.
