Somdev, Sanam Singh win India's 6th gold in Asiad

Guangzhou, Nov 22: India won another gold medal in Asian Games 2010 on Monday, Nov 22. Indian men's team won yellow metal in tennis doubles event.

India's new tennis sensation Somdev Devvarman & Sanam Singh grabbed the gold by beating China in the tennis doubles final.

Indian duo scored 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 to win the sixth gold medal for the country. Earlier on the day, Somdev reached the finals of tennis singles event.

With this gold, India's medal tally reached to 34 with 6 golds, 11 silver and 17 bronze.

On Sunday, Nov 21 India won three gold medals, two in athletics and one in shooting. Indian long distance runner Preeja Sreedharan won gold in 10,000m race and Sudha Singh won gold in 3,000m steeplechase. In shooting, Ranjan Sodhi brought gold in men"s double trap event.
