Tanvi Shah stops Olga Blank to enter ITF junior tennis finals

Mumbai, Dec 14 (UNI) The dream run of sixth seed Olga Blank of Israel, who had accounted for top seed Sonia Dayal in the quarters yesterday, ended today when she fell in straight sets to eighth seed Tanvi Shah of India in the MSLTA-ITF junior tennis tournament, at the Dr G K Ranade tennis centre courts here.

Tanvi Shah took control of the match early on and gave her opponent no chance with a solid baseline game winning at 6-3, 6-0 to set up a title clash with the second seed Aliev Angelika of Israel who beat Rashmi Teltumbdeat 6-0, 6-4.

In the boys singles semifinals, the top seed Karunuday Singh of India easily overcame fourth seed James Richardson of England in straight sets at 6-2, 6-4 to book a place in the final.

In the final, he will meet unseeded Ricardo Sinicropi of Italy who upset the eighth seed Lewis Barnes of England in a tough three setter at 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
