Wimbledon: Lisicki to face Bartoli in final

London, July 5: Sabine Lisicki on Thursday defeated Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland 6-4, 2-6, 9-7 to reach her first Wimbledon final. The 23-year-old became the first German to enter a Wimbledon final since Steffi Graf in 1999.

Lisicki will take on France's Marion Bartoli in the final on Saturday. Fifteenth seed Bartoli beat Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium 6-1, 6-2 in the other semifinal. It will be Bartoli's second appearance in a Wimbledon final since 2007 when she lost to Venus Williams.

In the men's doubles category, India's Rohan Bopanna and his French partner Edouard Roger-Vasseelin lost to US pair Mike and Bob Bryan in a five setter. The Bryan brothers won 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in a battle that lasted for two hours and 48 minutes.

Another Indian hope Leander Paes and his Cezch partner Radek Stepanek lost to 12th seed Craot-Brazilian pair of Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo 6-3 4-6 1-6 6-3 3-6.
