New Delhi, March 3: Bayley has won the Raw women's championship from Charlotte during the main event segment of Monday Night Raw on the 13th February episode.
This was the very first time that she has held the prime women's title on the flagship show but as per the latest planning of WWE creative, she will be soon losing it.
Her first title defense will take place on March 5th when Charlotte will claim her rematch at the Fastlane PPV. This is going to be the last Raw-exclusive PPV before Wrestlemania happens on April 2nd in Orlando.
Prior to this, the creative wanted to keep Bayley away from holding the title until the grandest stage of them all. She will have to end Charlotte's PPV streak in a singles contest at Wrestlemania in a grand way. But, that plan was changed in recent times according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The singles title match was preponed and scheduled at Fastlane so that Bayley lose it and Charlotte becomes the champion for the 5th time. She will be heading into Wrestlemania to defend the title against Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Nia Jax.
This fatal-4-way match's idea came as an impromptu one and got sanctioned, instantly. Bayley will win this match to finally put an end to Charlotte's PPV streak. She will then defend it at Payback PPV in her hometown of San Jose, California.
Going forward into the post-Wrestlemania season, Bayley should defend the title against the likes of Sasha Banks who will be turning into a heel prior to this year's summer.
Furthermore, Emma is supposed to be back with her evil gimmick and hence would like to challenge her for the championship. These two go way back during their NXT days and would make a great rivalry if planned correctly.
Recently, Emma posted a tweet indicating the same when she shared a picture from her NXT days. It shows Bayley trapped in the Emma-lock. We are yet to find out when Emma starts competing inside the ring on Raw.
