Bengaluru, August 23: It looks like that the injury bug has got into the WWE roster and started biting several names on the roster. Prior to the Summerslam PPV names like The Revival, Bayley had fallen victims to it. Over the weekend, NXT star Asuka suffered a collarbone injury. Now, WWE Raw superstar, Big Cass is the latest addition to the list.

On the post-Summerslam episode of WWE Raw, Big Cass competed in a Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore. The crowd was excited during this match, between two former buddies until Cass landed badly on his knees off the top rope. He was visibly hurt from that moment and was not able to compete anymore.

After discussing with the medical personnel present at ringside, the match referee decided to call off the match. Enzo was declared as the winner since Big Cass was in an incompetent state.

The initial thought of the crowd was that the injury was not real since we often see the WWE superstars fake injuries to get the crowd ready for a change in storyline.

Later, WWE.com confirmed that injury is real as the seven-footer will have to sit out for a certain extent. His time span for recovery will be determined after the MRI reports arrive.

Check out the official update from WWE.com, here:

"Big Cass suffered an injury to his left knee during the Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore on Raw, WWE.com can confirm. The injury occurred after Amore dodged a big boot by pulling down the top rope, sending Cass to the floor in the process.

"It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we're going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report," said WWE physician Dr. Chris Robinson.

A video footage was also released by WWE following the episode of Raw where we see Cass leaving the arena in crutches. This was the worst time to pick up the injury since he was going to get a push following his huge victory over Big Show at Summerslam in a shark cage match. He will have to start from scratch on his return.
