After a super successful Backlash PPV, Smackdown followed it up with another compact edition and already hyped up tonight's show. We will look forward to a good story-telling once again, tonight.

Starting from the title picture, there's no crisis with the championship here on Smackdown, unlike Raw. AJ Styles had kick-started the Phenomenal Era and continued to draw more ratings than the flagship show.

To make things more interesting, John Cena returned to the title picture, last week. While we thought we would simply get the rematch between Styles and Ambrose, we will see a triple threat match for the title, instead.

Cena's main motto here will be to tie the record of the legendary Ric Flair's sixteenth title reign. However, Ambrose has bounced back into his own business by turning on the franchise towards the end of last week's Smackdown.

He was not having a good time for the last couple of weeks and his intentions last week showed how lunatic he can be at times.

Even, the crowd was showering him with boos which are a good indication of turning him into the heel in the near future.

In the Women's championship scenario, Alexa Bliss has become the new number one contender for Becky Lynch's title.

It was totally uncalled for and the creative has managed to impress the audience, once again. What better way to pull a Diva like Bliss to get her right into the title picture? Becky vs. Bliss would be a rivalry, worth a watch.

The second one storyline in the Women's division is definitely with Nikki Bella and Carmella. They are probably going to square-off at the No Mercy PPV.

This is a good decision in parts of WWE to put over a talent like Carmella using her against Nikki Bella. Carmella has dominated their feud so far and is likely to win is one.

In the tag division, Slater and Rhyno will surely be encountered by the Usos who will claim a rematch for the title.

On the other hand, the drama between The Miz and Daniel Bryan is continuing in the social media, as well regarding the 'negotiations of contract.'

The Miz has said that he will be competing only in non-title matches. It is yet to see what decision the GM decides to take against the A-lister.
