WWE Smackdown Live Preview and Schedule: September 6th, 2016

By Raja

Lincoln, Sep 6: We are just five days away from the returning Backlash PPV after a long hiatus of eight years. Also, it will mark the first-ever brand specific PPV that will take place from WWE Smackdown's part.

With that being said we will have this week's Smackdown Live from the Pinnacle Bank arena in Lincoln, NE starting at 6.15 PM on the USA Network. The Talking Smack show will air immediately after the show on the WWE Network.

In India, Smackdown Live will be broadcasted live on the Ten2 and Ten2 HD channels from tomorrow morning 5.30 AM onwards with the pre-show 30 minutes prior to that.

Talking Smack will also be available at 7.30 AM, live. You can catch the repeat telecast at 4PM and 7.30PM on the Ten1 channel on Wednesday.

On tonight's show, we will witness the final build up for the Backlash PPV with some heavyweight matches on the card. Starting from the WWE World title, we need the rivalry between the champion and the contender to reach on a stronger note. We have yet to see Styles playing his dirtiest games against Dean Ambrose to make a strong momentum heading towards the PPV.

Last week's Smackdown ended with him hanging in between the ropes. I am sure he's now managed to escape from the situation and the memes that were made to troll him. Expect him to make a big statement to claim his first-ever title since arriving in the WWE.

Apart from that, the showrunners have already hyped up the PPV by introducing two brand new titles. In the case of the Women's championship, Nikki Bella and Carmella will continue with their ongoing feud. They two are strong contenders for the new title.

Plus, we will witness the semi-finals of the tag team tournament on Smackdown, tonight. We can expect the American Alpha and the team of Heath Slater & Rhyno heading into the final at Backlash.

The Miz will make his Intercontinental Championship title match official with Dolph Ziggler on the night by capitalizing on the shooting segment that went viral on Talking Smack. These two former Ohio residents will make a heated feud for the prestigious title, for sure.
