Bengaluru, August 16: The final edition of Smackdown Live before Summerslam witnessed a first-ever main event between John Cena and Jinder Mahal. A match was announced between Natalya and Becky Lynch. Plus, AJ Styles was supposed to have an apology to hype up this Sunday's PPV.

Here are the full results from the show hosted by the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

The show opened with the belated Independence Day celebration for the Indians. The ring was well decorated with Jinder Mahal standing in the middle of the ring. Shinsuke Nakamura cut him off to a short promo about the upcoming WWE title match. He promised to end Jinder's title run at Summerslam.

The number one contender for the Women's championship, Natalya had a match with Becky Lynch. The champion, Naomi was present at ringside. Nattie delivered a bold statement by defeating Becky with the Sharpshooter. She continued her assault on Becky even after the match.

Naomi made the save forcing Nattie to run away from ringside. Carmella showed up with Ellsworth claiming that whoever wins at Summerslam will be a loser since it's her who might cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase. Also, a potential team up was planned between Lana and Tamina.

AJ Styles apologized to Shane McMahon publicly for hitting the commissioner with a kick, last week. Their conversation was cut short by Kevin Owens who was informed to shake hands with his Summerslam opponent. Instead, a brawl broke out as Owens accidentally hit Shane with a super-kick.

Rusev faced off against Chad Gable on the show for the second time. This time, the fight was taken to the ringside area as Rusev hit Gable with the steel steps and got counted out by the referee. The Bulgarian Brute continued assaulting Gable until Randy Orton showed up and hit him with an RKO out of nowhere to end the segment.

Ths Usos got a match against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, on their demand. They picked up the win ahead of Summerslam by connecting with a double superkick.

The fashion files aired its final segment hinting that Breezango will be off Smackdown for two weeks.

Jinder Mahal locked horns against John Cena in the main event of Smackdown. The Singh Brothers interfered in the match to get sent away from ringside. Cena connected with an AA off the top rope but was unable to pick up the win as Baron Corbin interfered.

The contest got disqualified and Corbin went on to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on a laid down Jinder. However, Cena distracted Corbin after the match was underway allowing Jinder to pin Corbin by a roll up. Corbin was mocked by Cena as the show went off air.
