Nagpur, November 24: Off-spinner R Ashwin took four wickets while Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja shared rest of the six wickets equally among them as India bundled out Sri Lanka for 205 in the first innings of the second Test here on Friday (November 24).

Dimuth Karunaratne (51) and skipper Dinesh Chandimal (54) were the only Sri Lankan batsmen to offer some form of resistance. In reply, India were 11 for 1 from eight overs at close.

The hosts iost opener KL Rahul when he dragged one from Lahiru Gamage on to his stumps.

India pacer Ishant Sharma, who came in for an injured Mohammad Shami, gave India an early breakthrough in the second Test against Sri Lankat here dismissing Sadeera Samarawickrama.

Ishant elicited an edge from the Sri Lankan opener that was gobbled up by Cheteswar Pujara at first slip. The batsman reviewed immediately to check whether the ball bounced off the grass before nestling in Pujara's hands but to no avail.

Earlier, Sri Lanka batted by choice on a green Nagpur pitch and they came out with an unchanged side.

India made three changes to the line-up - once forced and two on the expected lines. Ishant, who had an impressive domestic season, replaced Shami who missed the Test with a hip niggle.

M Vijay expectedly came in for Shikhar Dhawan, who opted out of the Test due to personal reasons.

Rohit Sharma finally got a chance in Test after the team management decided to give him a chance considering the slew of away Tests.

Rohit came in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is skipping this Test and the one at Delhi as part of getting married. In fact, he tied knots on Thursday night (November 24).
