Four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will face defending champions Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday (May 29).
While CSK led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni earned a direct entry to the final by beating GT in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday (May 23), the reigning champions Titans led by Hardik Pandya kept their title defence alive by seeing off Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 on Friday (May 26).
This will be CSK's 10th IPL final appearance and GT's second successive in a row. This will also be Dhoni's 10th as the captain and Pandya's 2nd as a captain. As GT only made their IPL debut in 2022, this Sunday's showdown will be the first between CSK and the Titans in an IPL Final.
