Bengaluru, January 27: England will begin their tour of India with the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the venue fondly known as Chepauk among cricket fans, in Chennai on February 5.

This series will mark the return of international cricket to India after a Covid 19-enforced gap of just over 10 months. India will be overwhelming favourites to win the series, and the recent 2-1 series triumph over Australia at their home has reinforced the aura around this Indian squad.
