New Delhi, Dec 19: The Players Auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 has finally come to an end and now it is time for the action to unfold on the ground on March 29.

All 8 franchises have finished shopping for the 12th season of the home-grown Twenty20 league which is touted as the most expensive Twenty20 league on the planet. All the eight teams have finalised the squads.

Left-arm pacer from Saurashtra, Jaidev Unadkat emerged as the most expensive player in the auction when Rajasthan Royals, who released him before the auction, bought him for Rs 8.40 crore. Unadkat, who was the most expensive Indian buy in the last season for a whopping amount of Rs 11.5 crore, was joint highest with uncapped Varun Chakravarty.

Uncapped wicketkeeper Prabhsimran Singh was purchased by Kings XI Punjab for 4.80 crores while 15-year-old Prayas Ray Barman became the youngest crorepati in the IPL after Royal Challengers Bangalore shelled out a huge sum of Rs 1.50 crore for the all-rounder from Bengal.
