IPL 2020: SRH vs DC, Match 47 Highlights: Saha's 87, Rashid Khan's three-for helps SRH beat DC by 88 runs

Dubai, October 28: Wriddhiman Saha (87), David Warner (66) and Rashid Khan (3/7) shined as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Capitals by 88 runs in match 47 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 on Tuesday (October 27). Sunrisers have garnered two crucial points with his win.

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, suffered their third consecutive defeat in the tournament. Having been invited to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 219/2 in stipulated 20 overs.

Captain David Warner (66) had a memorable outing on his birthday and gave blistering start to his team with his new opening partner Wriddhiman Saha (87). Warner started the proceedings with the bat on a dominant note as the opening pair amassed 77 runs for the first wicket in the powerplay. It was SRH's best start in the powerplay in the season.

Warner and Saha - who had played just a game prior to this match - targetted Delhi bowlers from the word go and pushed the Shreyas Iyer-led side on the back foot. Warner and Saha were the only wickets Sunrisers lost in the match.

Manish Pandey (44*) and Kane Williamson (11*) forged a partnership of 49 balls and ensured his team posted a daunting total for their opponents.

In response, Delhi Capitals had a disastrous start as their in-form opener Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for a duck by Sandeep Sharma in the first over itself. Marcus Stoinis (5) was dismissed by Shahbaz Nadeem as Delhi lost their second wicket in the powerplay.

Shimron Hetmyer (16), Ajinkya Rahane (26), Rishabh Pant (36) and Tushar Deshpande (20*) were the only batsmen to have scored in double digits.

Rashid Khan (3/7) was the wrecker-in-chief for Hyderabad as the Afghanistan spin sensation got the wickets of Hetmyer and Rahane in a single over and pushed Delhi on the back foot. Sandeep (2/27), T Natarajan (2/26) bagged two wickets each and ensured a big win for Hyderabad. The Shreyas Iyer-led side were bundled out for 131 in 19 overs.
