Bengaluru, February 24: Runs continued to flow from the bat of Mayank Agarwal as Karnataka registered a convincing 9-wicket win over Maharashtra in the semifinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the Feroze Shah Kotla, New Delhi, on Saturday (February 24).
In the final to be played on Tuesday (February 27) at Kotla, Karnataka will take on either Andhra or Saurashtra.
On this day, Karnataka gave a champagne effort with both bat and ball to ease into the title clash.
After opting to bat, Maharashtra could not offer any meaningful resistance to Karnataka bowlers and were skittled out for 160 in little over 44 overs.
Spinner K Gowtham was the pick of Karnataka bowlers, taking three wickets for 26 runs from his quota of 10 overs.
The total was never going to challenge an in-form Karnataka batting line-up and they proved it just so.
Agarwal (81, 86b, 8x4, 1x6) and skipper Karun Nair (70 n.o., 90b, 10x4) milked 155 runs for the opening wicket in 28.2 overs as Karnataka waltzed past the target with 19.3 overs pending.
Now, over to the final!
