Melbourne, Mar 20: It seems even leadership in Bangladesh couldn't digest their national team's loss to Team India in the World Cup 2015 Quarter Final as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina too has blamed the 'poor umpiring' for their team's exit from the tournament.

As per a report published in bdnews24.com, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina consoled their team saying, "India would not have been able to defeat them had there been no umpiring errors."

Aleem Dar under fire

Hasina was addressing her country's cricket team at a reception in Melbourne organised by Bangladeshi expatriates living in Australia.

In the second quarter-final at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), umpire Aleem Dar made an error by signalling a no-ball when Rohit Sharma was caught off a full toss from Rubel Hossain.

At the time, Rohit was on 90 and went on to make 137. The ball was below the waist and not above, for which no-ball will be called. With the help of Rohit's knock India went on to post a target of 303 for the Bangladeshi team and later bundled them at 193 thereby winning the match by 109 runs.

The erred decision irked the millions of Bangladeshi supporters who came out on streets to protest against the ICC umpire.

ICC president Mustafa Kamal, who also happens to be Bangladesh's Planning Minister added fuel to the fire after he joined in to criticise the Pakistan umpire and went on to accuse India for the blunder, saying ICC had now become "Indian Cricket Council".

ICC Chief Executive David Richardson issued a statement saying Kamal's comments were "unfortunate" and were made in his "personal capacity". He said the no-ball decision was '50-50 call' and has backed the match officials.

Bangladeshi supporters are not ready to take the entire development in a sporty fashion and have made it an emotional affair.

Even, Bangladesh's captain Mashrafe Mortaza praised the Indian cricket team for its stunning form and wished the Men In Blue for their upcoming contest in the tournament.
