Reliance announces slew of services on the occasion of T20 World Cup

Mumbai, Aug 31 (UNI) Reliance Communications, the official global partner of the inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Cup to be held in South Africa from September 11 to 24, today announced a slew of services of their mobile platform to generate interest in the championship.

Reliance Communications Branding and Marketing Head Sanjay Behl told media persons that among the initiatives being launched is the Dhoni-Dhanadan pack. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian captain for the event is the brand ambassador for Reliance.

Mobile subscribers to Dhoni-Dhanadan pack will be able to get score updates after every over, wicket alerts, live streaming videos, videos of match highlights, wallpapers, Dhoni zone and even participate in a contest using their handsets. The pack comes under two price points of Rs 49 and Rs 79, each allowing the user to access a wide array of quality services, he added.

This package also includes a contest in which a lucky winner will get an all expense trip to South Africa to watch the Twenty20 World Cup final and also meet Dhoni.

Mr Behl further said that another product which is being introduced is the full talktime 2020 recharge voucher. This prepaid product allows users to have 100 per cent talktime value for Rs 2020 and has validity for 12 months and incoming validity of 20 months.

For the new mobile subscribers, Reliance has launched a scheme wherein a customer can get a full expense paid trip to watch the Twenty20 World Cup final in South Africa by getting a first recharge of at least Rs 300, he added.

On the occasion the ICC Twenty20 World Cup trophy, which had been unveiled in Delhi a couple of days back was also displayed by Mr Behl to the media. The trophy has been designed by Minalee and Bryce and weighs 12 kg. It is made of silver and has been manufactured in India by Amit Pabuwal.
