Sohail, Altaf to benifit from PCB reshuffle

Lahore, Oct 9 (UNI) Former Test players Aamer Sohail and Saleem Altaf are expected to get prime positions in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after Ijaz Butt was appointed as the new chairman.

''Butt is not particularly fond of some officials in the present set up and is certain to change them,'' a PCB source said. ''He is not happy with the way the Board has been run and he will make rapid and wholesale changes.'' The source added that former opener Aamer Sohail, who had a long meeting with Butt yesterday, would be appointed to an important post, and will probably replace chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed who resigned yesterday.

According to reports, Butt has ordered a complete list of people employed during the tenure of former PCB chief Nasim Ashraf and the details of their designation and their salaries and perks.

''He has also ordered to be given a comprehensive breakdown of the financial affairs including the present assets of the Board, the expenditures of the fiscal year etc,'' the source informed.
