T20 World Cup 2022 Squads: The Players List of All Teams Participating in ICC show-piece event

As it stands, defending champions Australia and England have announced their squads for the T20 World Cup. The last date for squad selection is October 10.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is set to be played in Australia

The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to played in Australia from October 16 to November 13 with 16 teams battling for the coveted title. The tournament will start with round 1 and then continue with Super 12.

Initially eight teams, including the 9th to 12th ranked teams (Sri Lanka, West Indies, Namibia & Scotland) and four teams from the global qualifier (Ireland, Netherlands, Zimbabwe & UAE) are divided into two groups of four teams each.

The groups - Group A & Group B are already decided. Every team will face the other three teams from their respective groups in single round-robin matches with the group winner and runner up advancing the Super 12 stage.

The Super 12 stage that is scheduled to start on October 22 sees eight top ranked teams - India, England, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa and Afghanistan. The Super 12 Groups - Group 1 and Group 2 have also been drawn already.

India will be in Group 2 along with arch-rivals Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and two teams that will qualify from round 1 - the Group B winner and Group A runner up.

Defending champions and hosts Australia have been drawn in Group 1 with England, New Zealand, Afghanistan and the two teams that will qualify from round 1 - Group A winner and Group B runner up.

Now, with the show-piece event approaching all teams have announced their squads for the T20 World Cup 2022 to be held in Australia.
