Galle, Aug 15: Virat Kohli-led cricket team celebrated India's 69th Independence Day before the start of proceedings on day four of the first Test against Sri Lanka here today.
The Indian squad including the support staff recited the national anthem minutes before the start of what turned out to be a failed run chase against the hosts on the penultimate day, losing the series opener by 63 runs.
