Maxwell left TV interview to hug Sachin

The video has gone viral over Youtube after it was uploaded on Monday. It has been viewed for more than 1.5 lakh times, within 24 hours after its was uploaded. Social media too is flooded with the video where everyone is talking about the respect God of Cricket gets wherever he goes.

The video shows Maxwell busy was giving a TV interview when Sachin Tendulkar, who also happened to be the brand ambassador of the ICC World Cup 2015, was walking in the field to greet victorious Australian team.

Seeing Little Master along with ICC dignitaries on the ground, the 26-year-old Australian all rounder left the TV interview midway to greet and hug his former IPL mentor. Sachin too reciprocated the Australian cricketer's gesture with same vigour and congratulated him for Australia's 5th WC win.

It must be noted that Glen Maxwell was a part of Sachin Tendulkar led Mumbai Indians squad in the IPL. It was Sachin Tendulkar who brought Maxwell into Mumbai's side.

The explosive batter, who now plays for Kings XI Punjab, too credits Sachin for improving his batting techniques.

Australia won the ICC World Cup 2015 by defeating New Zealand by 7 wickets at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Mar 29. Sachin Tendulkar handed over the Man-of-the-final and Man-of-the-tournament honours.
