When an over-speeding Lamborghini gave Arnab Goswami a chance to repair his image

By Shubham

Thanks Mr Arnab Goswami for repairing your image in less than a week's time. The editor-in-chief of Times Now, perhaps India's noisiest news channel, came to the news on Tuesday for complaining to the police about the driver of an over-speeding Lamborghini Huracan on the streets of Mumbai.

The 39-year-old Juhu resident who was arrested by the police who registered an FIR after receiving Goswami's complaint.

When a Lamborghini helped Arnab Goswami

Goswami was lauded later for the act

Goswami, who was reportedly in a Maruti Swift Dzire, saw the driver of the high-speed car driving dangerously on the Bandra-Worli Sealink, and immediately contacted the police. He was later lauded on the social media as a 'model citizen' after the Times of India clarified the incident in a report.

A great opportunity for Goswami to bounce back in public memory

Whether this incident proved the man to be a model citizen at once is debatable but it has certainly helped him recover his image that was badly hit after he took on the Indian cricket team after their World Cup semifinal loss against Australia in Sydney on March 26.

Goswami faced a backlash for questioning Indian cricket team's commitment in WC

Goswami had questioned the commitment and accountability of the Indian players and his channel termed the loss as an "abject surrender". [Dear Arnab Goswami, you are a pathetic pseudo-nationalist]

This was done after India won seven of their eight matches in the World Cup. The verdict passed was counter-slammed for being rude and naive.

The Lamborghini incident gave the editor an excellent chance to repair his image

But the Lamborghini driver gave India's custodian-in-chief a tremendous opportunity to regain his popularity, specially on the social media which is always in an unstable mode.

Goswami should take satisfaction from the fact that action matters more than words

But Goswami should also take satisfaction from the fact that work on the ground matters more than shouting blatantly on the TV sets as he does every evening on issues that he feel to address (even if they don't require).

We look forward to such responsible action in TV studio as well

A journalist is as socially responsible as any other human being and his job also includes a reckless driver on the road to prevent a probable disaster. Goswami was perfect in executing the citizen's responsibility on the streets.

It will be better if the same model is followed in the studio, dear journalist. We will wait to see that day.
