Player Of The Match
  • 101.3

OUT! Caught. Ben Stokes to Shimron Hetmyer. Out-swinging length ball, down leg side backing away Slog, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Foakes. Hetmyer looks to really unleash something violent but it flies off the edge. The left-hander has already gotten away with a couple of false strokes this morning however this time Foakes is able to pouch it high to his left courtesy of an athletic dive.

England have finished off the Windies first innings at Kensington Oval without too much damage this morning, although Shimron Hetmyer struck a few lovely boundaries to take the hosts to 289. James Anderson will take the headlines for his 27th Test five-wicket haul, a remarkable effort from the veteran Lancastrian. Windies will be looking to their battery of fast bowlers to cause similar damage to the tourists top order before the lunch break.

  • 101.1

  • 100.4

OUT! Caught. James Anderson to Alzarri Joseph. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump no foot movement defending, outside edge to third slip, by Buttler. Joseph's resistance is ended and Anderson celebrates a 27th Test five-wicket haul. It might sound silly but that was one of the better ducks you will see, Joesph was doing a good job of hanging around allowing Hetmyer to score the runs. The number ten was sucked into playing at this one when he probably didn't need to giving Buttler a simple catch.

  • 100.3

  • 99.4

APPEAL! OUT changed by umpire to NOT OUT after REFERRAL. Ben Stokes to Shimron Hetmyer. Out-swinging length ball, to leg on the back foot Late Cut, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Foakes, appeal made for Caught. The finger goes up but Hetmyer instantly signals for a review. The Guyanese batsman looks very confident and replays show why, clear daylight between bat and ball. Stokes thought he had his man there.

APPEAL! James Anderson to Alzarri Joseph. In-swinging length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to backward point for no runs, fielded by Bairstow, appeal made for L.B.W. Big appeal from the catchers behind the wicket but Anderson isn't interested. Neither is the umpire because it was too high.

  • 96.4

James Anderson to Shimron Hetmyer. Length ball, to leg on the front foot pushing, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Rashid.

  • 30.2

OUT! Caught. Alzarri Joseph to Adil Rashid. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, outside edge to second slip, by Holder. Guided into the bucket hands of Holder, that completes the demolition job at Kensington Oval. Rashid was caught in two minds and Holder won't make another mistake after his tough drop earlier.

That was a chaotic session in Bridgetown as England were dismantled by a fired up home side. The Windies take a mammoth lead of 212 runs into the second innings after their fast bowlers caught fire in the afternoon sun. Kemar Roach was the chief architect with a superb 5/17, he also had quality support from Jason Holder. The tourists were abject with the bat and have been humbled for their fourth lowest total against the men from the Caribbean.

  • 30.1

FOUR! Alzarri Joseph to Adil Rashid. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control past deep backward square leg for 4 runs. Rashid has license to play shots now with only Anderson for company. He's a very capable batsman with ten first class centuries.

  • End of Over 30

  • 29.6

  • 29.5

OUT! Caught. Shannon Gabriel to Sam Curran. Short, outside off stump on the back foot Fended, Gloved in the air uncontrolled to gully, by Hope. Brutal fast bowling, Gabriel gets in on the action now as the England collapse nears it's conclusion. This is quick and nasty, in at the throat of Curran who can only balloon it tamely to gully for a simple catch. The tourists are having a nightmare with the bat today and Curran can't be their saviour.

  • 28.6

Alzarri Joseph to Adil Rashid. Out-swinging length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to second slip for no runs, dropped catch by Holder. Put down by the skipper, that was a very difficult chance coming forward from second slip. The ball was dying on him and he couldn't quite scoop his fingers underneath it.

  • 103.1

FOUR! Keaton Jennings to Jason Holder. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Smashed with impunity, Holder bellows in delight as soon as he hits it because he knows the ball is in the gap. What an amazing innings by the Windies skipper, a sensational double century on his home ground.

Holder and Dowrich embrace before deciding enough is enough. The Windies have declared with a mammoth lead of 627 runs after an unbeaten seventh wicket partnership of 295. England have been made to suffer in the Barbados sunshine and now have to somehow try and save this match. The hosts bowlers will be well rested and can charge in this evening to make life tough for the weary Englishmen. What does Joe Root say in the dressing room now? They have been thoroughly outplayed and are staring down the barrel of a colossal defeat.

  • 101.2

FOUR! Keaton Jennings to Shane Dowrich. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, well timed past third man for 4 runs. Easy pickings for Dowrich, there is no one at third man so he just guided it there with an open face.

  • 98.2

FOUR! Moeen Ali to Jason Holder. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. Another powerful blow, Holder might have a double century on his mind now as England wilt in the sun.

  • 80.4
Sam Curran st Shai Hope b Roston Chase 17 (25)

OUT! Stumped. Roston Chase to Sam Curran. Off break length ball, down leg side down the track working, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper, by Hope. Chase spots Curran on the charge so fires this down leg, leaving the young left-hander stranded. Hope keeps his cool to whip the bails off and spark wild celebrations in Bridgetown. Chase finishes with eight wickets and Windies go 1-0 up in the three match series. What a sensational few days for Jason Holder's men this has been.

West Indies have annihilated England by the massive margin of 381 runs in Bridgetown to take an early lead in the series. The tourists were left staring down the barrel after being set an impossible 628 for victory, but started brightly this morning thanks to an eye-catching Rory Burns half century. His dismissal on the brink of lunch saw the momentum shift as Roston Chase pick up the first of an amazing eight wickets at the Kensington Oval. The offspinner didn't turn the ball a long way but mainly deceived the English batsmen with deliveries that went straight on with some extra bounce. He aptly finished off the match by taking his 50th Test wicket on his home ground. Joe Root will reflect on an yet another awful day for his batsmen as loose strokes gifted the hosts wickets again and again. There are only a few days until the Second Test in Antigua with plenty for the tourists to work on. Jason Holder scoops the player of the match award for his emphatic double century, he has a massive smile on his face as he soaks in the moment. Every single member of his team has delivered at some point over the past four days in a perfect Test match for the Windies.

APPEAL! Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. John Campbell to James Anderson. Off break half volley, off stump on the front foot reverse sweeping, hit pad to second slip for no runs, fielded by Holder, appeal made for Caught. Lots going on here as Holder asks for a review. Adil Rashid c Kraigg Brathwaite b Roston Chase 1 (6)

OUT! Caught. Roston Chase to Adil Rashid. Off break length ball, middle stump on the front foot slog sweeping, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, by Brathwaite. Chase has seven, these are incredible scenes in Bridgetown. Rashid decides his only option is to attack so he swipes with the spin but there is a man positioned in the deep for exactly this. Brathwaite has to skip over the rope after throwing the ball up, before coming back into the field of play to complete the catch. He made it look simple but it certainly wasn't. Windies are charging towards victory with style.
