Player Of The Match
  • 49.6

OUT! Caught. Carlos Brathwaite to Ben Stokes. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Hetmyer. A tame end as Stokes can't get the desired connection.

That was mayhem from start to finish. England have blasted their way to 418/6 thanks to sublime centuries from Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler. The platform was set by fluent half centuries from Alex Hales and Jonny Bairstow, before Buttler and Morgan combined in devastating fashion. They put on 204 runs for the fourth wicket in super quick time, smashing the ball over the ropes with alarming regularity. Windies weren't at their best with the ball, they bowled plenty of full tosses to aid the tourists cause and there was some dodgy fielding as well. It's going to require something special from them to even get close to the target.

  • 49.4

OUT! Bowled. Carlos Brathwaite to Jos Buttler. Slower ball back of a length, down leg side backing away pulling, missed to. Deceived by the slower ball, Buttler's stumps are destroyed. He gets a few handshakes from the Windies fielders on his way off, they realise it's been one of the great ODI innings. Nice to see.

  • 49.3

SIX! Carlos Brathwaite to Jos Buttler. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control over deep backward square leg for 6 runs. Bang, what a way to go to 150. Buttler soaks up the applause, it's been a fantastic knock.

  • 49.2

Carlos Brathwaite to Ben Stokes. Half volley, wide outside off stump moves in front driving, in the air under control to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Bishoo.

  • 48.6

  • 48.2

SIX! Sheldon Cottrell to Jos Buttler. Off cutter full toss, outside off stump moves in front Slog, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Buttler gives Cottrell a taste of his own medicine, saluting the bowler after thrashing him over the ropes. Cheeky stuff.

  • 48.1

Oshane Thomas to Jos Buttler. Yorker, outside off stump on the front foot driving, back to bowler for no runs, fielded by Thomas.

  • 47.5

FOUR! Oshane Thomas to Jos Buttler. Length ball, outside off stump moves in front Slog, thick edge in the air uncontrolled past third man for 4 runs. Buttler has probably earned a bit of luck after hitting them so cleanly. There's nothing the Windies can do about this.

  • 47.4

Oshane Thomas to Ben Stokes. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Campbell.

  • 47.3

FOUR! Oshane Thomas to Ben Stokes. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past deep backward point for 4 runs. Stokes joins the party, slicing one backward of point. Gayle puts in a tired dive but he was never going to get there.

  • 47.1

  • 46.5

SIX! Sheldon Cottrell to Jos Buttler. Off cutter short, to leg on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control for 6 runs. Six more, a bit more agricultural this time but enormous all the same.

  • 46.3

Sheldon Cottrell to Jos Buttler. Half volley, outside off stump moves in front driving, to long off for 1 run, fielded by Bravo.

  • 46.2

FOUR! Sheldon Cottrell to Jos Buttler. Off cutter length ball, outside off stump on the back foot driving, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Back to reality, the boundary-bonanza resumes.

  • 46.1

OUT! Caught. Sheldon Cottrell to Eoin Morgan. Off cutter length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Holder. The fun comes to an end for Morgan, he can't quite get hold of this one and it's an easy catch for Holder in the deep. Brief respite for the hosts, but Stokes strides out to the middle and he's another powerful ball striker. Cottrell brings out his salute, perhaps in honour of Morgan's military ruthlessness in that innings.

  • End of Over 46
Over 46. 9 runs. Bowler: Adil Rashid. Windies: 381/6 (rr 8.28)
  • 45.6

Jason Holder to Jos Buttler. Half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, to mid on for no runs, fielded by Nurse.

  • 45.5

SIX! Jason Holder to Jos Buttler. Full toss, off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. Atrocious bowling, you just can't afford to bowl this many full tosses and England are duly punishing the Windies.

  • 45.4

Jason Holder to Eoin Morgan. Full toss, outside off stump moves in front driving, mis-timed to long on for 1 run, fielded by Brathwaite.

  • 45.3

SIX! Jason Holder to Eoin Morgan. Full toss, outside off stump moves in front driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. There's the hundred for Morgan, brought up in typically brutal style. He's had to play second fiddle to Buttler in the last few overs but it's still been a majestic knock by the England captain. His incredible run of form continues.

  • 45.2

FREE HIT. Jason Holder to Eoin Morgan. Reverse Swing-Out half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Hope.

  • 45.2

APPEAL! Jason Holder to Jos Buttler. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot pulling, top edge in the air uncontrolled to third man for 1 run, by Cottrell, appeal made for Caught. Taken over the shoulder by short third man, but it was a very high full toss and the umpires want to check if it was too high. It's a tight one, they decide to rule in the batsman's favour. Tough break for the Windies.

  • End of Over 48
Over 48. 2 runs. Bowler: Adil Rashid. Windies: 389/10 (rr 8.10)
  • 47.6
Oshane Thomas st Jos Buttler b Adil Rashid 0 (1)

OUT! Stumped. Adil Rashid to Oshane Thomas. Googly length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper, by Buttler. There it is, Thomas is clueless as the googly rips past his edge and Buttler completes the job. Four wickets in five balls from Rashid as he finishes with an expensive five wicket haul.

England have won by 29 runs in a chaotic Fourth ODI against the Windies in Grenada to take a 2-1 lead in the series. This was another day to forget for the bowlers on both sides, with small boundaries and a belting pitch making for a boundary-filled day. Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler combined in devastating fashion earlier this afternoon, smashing the ball to all parts of St George's in a fourth wicket stand of 204 in just about 20 overs. They both made centuries and England broke the record set by the Windies in the First ODI for most sixes in an ODI innings. In response, Chris Gayle set the nerves jangling amongst the tourists as he charged past 10000 ODI runs, 500 international sixes and 300 ODI sixes with a typically brutal century, the 25th of his illustrious career. The hosts were right up with the required run rate for most of the innings and looked like pulling off a miracle with Carlos Brathwaite and Ashley Nurse finding the fence regularly, but an inspired over by Adil Rashid saw him intervene with four wickets in five balls to wrap things up for the visitors. He has the honour of taking the most expensive five wicket haul of all time in this format with his 5/85. Credit to Morgan for having the guts to bowl his legspinner at such a vital time. This series concludes in St Lucia on Saturday, you'd be crazy to miss it after the entertainment we've had today.

  • 47.5
Devendra Bishoo c Alex Hales b Adil Rashid 0 (2)

OUT! Caught. Adil Rashid to Devendra Bishoo. Googly half volley, down leg side on the front foot slog sweeping, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, by Hales. And another, what an over this is by the Yorkshireman. Bishoo tries to wack it out of the park but he can't get the distance. Hales this time with the catch, England are on the verge of victory in Grenada.

  • 47.4

Adil Rashid to Devendra Bishoo. Googly length ball, middle stump on the front foot pushing, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Buttler.

  • 47.3
Carlos Brathwaite c Eoin Morgan b Adil Rashid 50 (36)

OUT! Caught. Adil Rashid to Carlos Brathwaite. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, leading edge in the air uncontrolled to extra cover, by Morgan. Two in two for Rashid, surely that's the final nail in the coffin for the hosts. Brathwaite was aiming to leg but it went in the opposite direction, Morgan was never going to drop it.

  • 47.2
Ashley Nurse c Liam Plunkett b Adil Rashid 43 (41)

OUT! Caught. Adil Rashid to Ashley Nurse. Leg spinner length ball, down leg side backing away slog sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to short fine leg, by Plunkett. Rashid holds his nerve, Plunkett takes the catch as cool as a cucumber. It's a brave decision by Morgan to bowl the legspinner at this stage and it's paid off. Nurse went for a big swipe and it ballooned up off the edge.

  • 47.1

Adil Rashid to Ashley Nurse. Leg spinner half volley, middle stump on the front foot Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on for 2 runs, dropped catch by Stokes. Stokes is normally so reliable in the field but he can't cling on to this tough chance. Is that the moment the match slipped through England's fingers?

  • 45.4

FOUR! Adil Rashid to Ashley Nurse. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot driving, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Blasted into the gap with a fierce swing of the blade. Morgan has a wry smile, powerless to stop the mayhem.

  • 44.6

FOUR! Chris Woakes to Ashley Nurse. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Three in a row, atrocious bowling from Woakes to serve up another full toss. Pressure on the tourists.

  • 44.5

FOUR! Chris Woakes to Ashley Nurse. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, in the air under control past deep extra cover for 4 runs, mis-fielded by Root. That's a tired effort from Root, he did the hard work of getting there but then messed up the flick back into play. The partying is getting more and more widespread in the stands, they sense history is about to be made.

  • 44.4

FOUR! Chris Woakes to Ashley Nurse. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control past deep square leg for 4 runs. Woakes got away with the previous full toss but this time Nurse gives him the deserved treatment.
