Chandigarh, March 25: Security has been tightened further in the city after the Indian cricket team's arrival here to join Australia and Pakistan for the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 matches being played in Mohali.

The Indian team arrived here yesterday (March 24) and will take on Australia in a crucial match on Sunday. Pakistan and Australia are playing against each other in a group match today (March 25). (How Indian team can make semis?)
The teams are staying in different hotels, officials said, adding that additional force have been deployed in and around the cricket stadium and the hotels.
Commandos and SWAT personnel are also keeping strict vigil in and around the stadium. Policemen in plain clothes have also been put on duty in Chandigarh and Mohali.
Vehicles are being thoroughly checked, a police official said. Special traffic routes had been designated through which the teams are travelling from their hotels in Chandigarh to the stadium in Mohali.
