BSY bowled out by his own googly; No BDA sites for WC Heroes

Bangalore, Apr 8: BS Yeddyurappa has again been forced to put his foot in his mouth. The Karnataka Chief Minister has gone back on his declaration to allot BDA sites to all 15 World Cup winning players including coach Gary Kristen.

After announcing the allotment of free BDA sites to the players, Yeddyurappa came under several criticisms from the legal experts of the state as they showed Yeddyurappa's inability to allot such sites to anyone.

Now, when the CM himself announced that no sites will be given to the World Cup heroes, once again the criticism-missiles pointed at him.

Inaugurating the Kempegowda museum in Bangalore on Thursday, Apr 7, the CM stated, "We will not be able to give the sites to the World Cup heroes as announced earlier. This owes to the legal hurdles in giving away the sites."

However, he informed, "Instead, the state government will give Rs 25 lakh to each player. They will be invited to Bangalore and honoured in a grand function." (Read: Sachin, Dhoni - Please donate your cash prize)

India won the World Cup after defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets in Mumbai on Saturday, Apr 2. The country then witnessed how the government (both central and state) started announcing awards and cash prizes for the players. Yeddyurappa's announcement also came up at that point of time to felicitate the World Cup winning heroes. So, now it seems that Yeddyurappa has been bowled out by his own googly!
