Natal (Brazil), June 17: USA captain Clint Dempsey scored the fifth fastest goal in the history of the World Cup on Monday (June 16) against Ghana.

It took Dempsey just 29 seconds to score the goal against Ghana in their Group G clash of the FIFA World Cup 2014 at the Arena das Dunas stadium in Natal. It was the fastest goal for USA in World Cups. USA won 2-1.

The fastest goal in World Cup history was scored by Hakan Sukur against South Korea in the 2002 World Cup.
