Jose Mourinho hints at Chelsea return

Madrid, Mar 24: Jose Mourinho has hinted he may return to Stamford Bridge after claiming his future after Real Madrid could be a place where he has coach before.

Mourinho has indicated to leave Spain at the end of the season and has previously mentioned that after Real Madrid, "England will be my next destination".

"Everyone knows I have an adventurous spirit," Mourinho is quoted as saying in The Sun.

The former Inter Milan coach has given a strong hint that he could return to Chelsea where he spent three successful years.

"It could be a destination where I have coached before. There are things that may be about to happen no one could imagine," he said.

The Portuguese won the La Liga title with Los Blancos last season but is unlikely to retain it Barcelona way ahead at the top of the table. Their only chance of silverware this season could be in the Spanish cup and the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea's current interim manager Rafa Benitez has confirmed he will be leaving at the end of the season and a number of managers have been lined up to replace him, namely Gianfranco Zola, Manuel Pellegrini and Diego Simeone.

Mourinho has also been linked to Manchester United as a long term replacement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
