Munich, Aug 16: German international footballer Lukas Podolski has officially retired from international football. Debuting in 2004, Podolski has played 128 matches scoring 48 goals for the national team.
Podolski, 31, currently plays for Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray. He was a part of Germany's world cup winning side in 2004. He was also a part of the German squad at the Euro 2016.
Lukas Podolski confirmed the news of his retirement on Twitter and Instagram on Monday (August 15).
