Neymar flies off to Brazil with PSG permission for family matter

Paris, Dec 11: Paris Saint-Germain hotshot Neymar has flown off to Brazil to attend to a family emergency and is probably going to miss his side's French Cup match against Strasbourg, according to reports.

The forward was suspended for PSG's last weekend's 2-1 win over Lille in Ligue 1 on Saturday after picking up a yellow card against Monaco.

After getting a red card during PSG's 2-2 draw with Marseille, and receiving the yellow against Monaco activated an extra one-match suspension.

However, the Brazilian superstar went to the last week's game and watch the match from the stand. But now as per RMC Sport, he is reportedly set to come back to his country,

PSG has given Neymar three days' leave to take care of the issue and it is expected that he would miss PSG's Coupe de la Ligue's away trip to Strasbourg on Wednesday.

Earlier the host side gave PSG their first shock of the season just a week ago when they lost 2-1 in the away game and later suffered a consecutive loss against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek.

However, the French side have now again turned the tide and come back to winning ways against Lile this week with a 3-1 win, thanks to goals from Di Maria, Pastore and Mbappe.

PSG currently own nine-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 ahead of second-placed Lyon.
