UEFA Champions League: Arsenal vs Olympiakos Preview

London, Oct 4: Arsenal face a stern test against under-fire Greek opponents Olympiakos in Group B of the UEFA Champions League at the Emirates Stadium in London. The Gunners will aim to bounce back after losing to rivals Chelsea in the domestic league.

Arsene Wenger will watch his side from the stands as he serves the second of his three-match ban from the dug-out. The Frenchman was left frustrated at the weekend after his side squandered chance after chance against the reigning European Champions.

However, the North London club will be confident of clinching three points against their Greek opponents. Oympiakos coach Leonardo Jardim has admitted that his team are under pressure to perform at the Emirates.

Champions of Greece lost to Schalke 2-1 in Game Week 1 while Arsenal beat Montpellier 1-2 away from home.

The Gunners have fresh injury concerns with midfielder Abou Diaby out after suffering a thigh strain and is joined by Tomas Rosicky and Bacary Sagna. Jack Wilshere may not start despite returning to action with the under-21 team.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll is set to face rivals Arsenal. The 35-year old stopper could start for Olympiakos.
