Joshna Chinappa too took away a bronze medal after losing 3-1 to Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam. This is India's 27th medal so far at Asiad.
After trailing 2-0 against Malaysian, Chinappa pulled back in the third set but failed in the next set to eventually bow out. She too had to settle with a bronze.
Hope @SauravGhosal makes up for the twin defeats of @DipikaPallikal & @joshnachinappa and improve the colour of India's two medals (bronze) so far in #Ssquash. He will play No. 21-ranked Chung Ming Au of HKG in his men's singles semis. Saurav is ranked No. 12. #AsianGames

With Joshna and Dipika bagging a bronze each and Saurav Ghosal yet to play his semi-final match, it still is India's best performance in singles competition in an Asian Games. In Incheon games, four years ago, Saurav secured a silver and Dipika claimed a bronze.
