FIBA World Cup Qualifier: India fall to Lebanon

Team India fell short to Lebanon losing 50-90 at the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers Window-2 on Monday.

Bengaluru, February 26: Team India fell short to Lebanon losing 50-90 at the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers Window-2 on Monday (February 26). This was the second game of the second window for both India and Lebanon which was being played in the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

India started the game giving Lebanon a tough fight for each and every point in the first quarter but started falling short later on in the second quarter. By the end of the second quarter of the game Lebanon took a huge lead of more than 20 points and later on dominated over India and kept on adding to their lead.

Center A. Majok from Lebanon led the charge with 17 points and A. Saoud added 16 points. Veteran point guard Joginder Singh led the Indian team with 14 points in which he knocked down 4 three pointers. Centre Satnam Singh maintained his consistency and added 12 points.

India will next face Syria on June 28th and Jordan on 1st July at their homes for the third window of the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers Window-2.

Lebanon (A. Majok 17pts, A. Saoud 16pts, B. Bawji 16pts) bt India (Joginder 14pts, Satnam 12pts) 90-50
