Chile and Swiss fight for top spot

Port Elizabeth: Chile will clash against Switzerland in their Group H encounter at Port Elizabeth.

Both teams have won their opening games and are leading the group. The team who wins will lead the group and will have a strong chance of making it to the last 16.

Chile have a young side and they came second they came second in South America in the qualification table, just one point less than Brazil. Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa is hopeful that their star striker Humberto Suazo, who was the leading scorer in South American qualifying, will be back for the match. He was suffering from a left thigh injury. Chile had secured their World Cup win after 48 years. Their last successful win last time in World Cup competition was against Yugoslavia in1962 when they finished third as hosts.

On the other side, Ottmar Hitzfeld's Swiss side is high on confidence after their 1-0 win against tournament favorites Spain and are looking to pull another win against the South Americans. Hitzfeld said he had decided on a starting lineup, but would not “let the cat out of the bag early." He said he will announce the lineup to the squad at a meeting three hours before kick off, according to fifa.com reports.
Swiss have not conceded a goal for the last 490 minutes in World Cup. However, their key defense player Philippe Senderos sprained his ankle during their match against Spain and would be missing the match against the South Americans and also expected to miss their final group match Honduras.
