HOA to celebrate International Olympic Day in Jatwar village

Chandigarh, June 4 (UNI) Haryana Olympic Association has decided to celebrate the International Olympic Day in a befiiting Mannar at Jatwar village in Ambala District on June 22 and 23 in collaboration with District Rural Games Olympic Association Ambala. HOA Secretary General Dr M S Malik said that outstanding international and national reputed sportspersons from all over the state would participate in various sports events to be organised on the occasion.

The main sports events are Circle style Kabaddi for men and women, Tug of War for men and women, Athletics events for men and women and veterans, 10km Mass run for men above 18 yrs, 5km mass run for boys and girls for below 18 yrs and 3km for veterans. The main attraction of the function will be Kabaddi match between Panjab and Haryana.

Dr Malik further said that cash prizes to the winners will be awarded from Rs 5000 to Rs 31000 in the Tug of War and Kabaddi.

In athletics Rs 1000 will be given to the winner of each event.
